The understanding of major risks drives the energies and talents of thousands of researchers. In January 2008 AXA Group created the AXA Research Fund and endowed it with 100 million euros over five years.

The AXA Research Fund supports scientists and institutions of excellence worldwide, where research is linked to life, societal and environmental risks. This unique initiative is in line with AXA’s tradition of corporate citizenship, and is one of the major pillars in its stance as a responsible insurer.

Since its creation, the AXA Research Fund has supported 139 projects in 15 countries. To date, 33 million euros have been engaged and the Fund continues to look forward.
